Nestled in the heart of the Monadnock Region, The Cheshire Horse flagship store is fortunate to be surrounded by a myriad of talented and passionate equestrians. From Saddlebreds to Quarter Horses, and everything in between, their varied backgrounds are brought together by a love of horses. Monadnock Region Horse Farms

Balance Point Farm: Located in Marlow, NH, Balance Point Farm specializes in breeding athletic draft-cross sport horses. They always have a number of talented dressage and eventing prospects available for purchase.

Cloud 9 Farm: Offering boarding, training, lessons, and rehabilitation services in Dublin, NH, they focus primarily on dressage and horses with behavioral issues. They have an indoor arena and welcome truck-ins to use the facility.

Dusty Dog Farm: A picturesque facility on 100 acres in Keene, NH, Dusty Dog Farm is known for its quality hunter/jumper lessons, training, sales, and summer camps. They have an active show team that competes along the east coast as well as a large children’s program. Additionally, Dusty Dog Farm is the home base for Cooper’s Crossroad, a non-profit organization that raises awareness on the effects of childhood trauma.

FarWell Farm: With 30 stalls, as well as an outdoor ring and indoor ring with a heated viewing center, FarWell Farm is a full-service equestrian center in Swanzey, NH. They offer riding lessons and summer camps for all ages and abilities, in addition to full care board and quality training for all disciplines.

Fairfield South, Inc.: Offering lessons and training with an indoor arena in Richmond, NH, Fairfield South specializes in American Saddlebreds. They can be seen competing at shows throughout New England and down the east coast. Fairfield also has an active academy program and runs several camps throughout the year.

Friendship Field Farm: A hunter/jumper facility with an indoor arena in Dublin, NH, Friendship Field Farm offers a variety of competitive opportunities and is frequently seen on the New Hampshire Hunter Jumper Association (NHHJA) show circuit. They are also the home of the Friendship Field Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Team and have an active summer camp program.

Furnace Brook Farm: Located on 40 acres in New Ipswich, NH, they are a relaxed hunter/jumper and dressage farm that offers boarding, lessons, and summer camps, in addition to having an IEA team.  Furnace Brook Farm is the host of the Monadnock Horse Show Series and Schooling Dressage and Two-Phase Combined Training Events.

Hardy Stables: A small farm in Chesterfield, NH, Hardy Stables offers lessons, trail rides, camps, and clinics. With an emphasis on horsemanship and safety, they introduce their students to a variety of riding styles and breeds. 

Last Impression Farm: Located on 30 acres in Swanzey, NH, Last Impression Farm can frequently be seen at Quarter Horse and Paint Horse shows throughout the region, they are also a popular boarding facility. They have two trainers at their large facility, complete with an indoor arena, who can help you and your horse reach your full potential.

Ledgebrook Farm: With a focus on stock breeds, Ledgebrook Farm in Gilsum, NH, offers a strong foundation in hunter under saddle, hunt seat equitation, western pleasure, horsemanship, trail, showmanship, and halter for horse and rider. Lessons are offered for all ages and skillsets. Boarding is also available.

Magic Dragonfly Farm: Located in Marlborough, NH on a dirt road, Magic Dragonfly Farm is a small private barn offering boarding, training, lessons (dressage, jumping, natural horsemanship), and starting young horses. The facility has a small sand ring, miles of trails, open fields, and a round pen. Cindy Athans, the owner, is a longtime eventer and a certified saddle fitter. Meadowaire Farm: Right along the Connecticut River in Walpole, NH, Meadowaire Farm introduces equestrians to the magic of the Morgan horse with a large lesson program and a full slate of summer camps. Focusing on producing well-rounded riders, they offer the chance to compete everywhere from local 4-H Horse Shows through the Morgan Grand Nationals in Oklahoma. 

Mountain Lane Farm: Offering boarding, lessons, leasing, and trail riding in Temple NH, Mountain Lane Farm is well-known for its mountain trail course… it is the only one of its kind in New England! The course was designed by the Founder of the International Mountain Trail Course Association (IMTCA), Mark Bolender.

One Ton Horsemanship: A private horse farm at the base of Mount Monadnock in Rindge NH, they offer boarding, training, sales, lessons, leasing, and clinics. They specialize in driving, western, hunters, reining, and behavioral fixes as well as working with rescues and rehabilitation cases.

Platinum Equestrian: Offering eventing and dressage instruction and training in Westmoreland, NH, Platinum Equestrian focuses on producing well-rounded horses and riders with a strong foundation in the fundamentals. They also take on a select number of sale horses.

Prophet Hill Farm:  A small but active lesson and boarding facility in Rindge, NH, their focus is dressage and eventing. Their teaching and training style combines classical horsemanship with biomechanics and natural horsemanship techniques. They also allow truck-ins to use their indoor arena.

Rabbit Hollow Ranch: Connected to a large trail system and with beautiful land to ride on in Winchester, NH, Rabbit Hollow Ranch specializes in private or group western riding lessons as well as trail rides. They also offer day camps and pony rides.

Richmond Hill Stables: A versatile farm in Richmond, NH, Richmond Hill Stables offers instruction in a variety of disciplines including hunter/jumper, dressage, western pleasure/equitation, and gymkhana. Richmond Hill has an active junior program with many summer camps. They are also the home of the Monadnock High School Equestrian Team.

Shooting Star Farm: A world-renowned breeder of Dutch Warmbloods (KWPN), Shooting Star Farm has a number of broodmares at their Spofford, NH, facility. In addition to selling foals on the ground and in-utero, they also offer breeding services and import services.

Silver Ranch Stables: A popular wedding venue in Jaffrey, NH, Silver Ranch Stables also offers balance seat lessons in addition to boarding and training. If driving interests you, they give lessons in driving singles, pairs, and even teams of horses. They even have hayrides and sleigh rides, depending on the weather!

Temple Hills Equestrian Center: Located in Temple, NH, Temple Hills offers boarding, training, lessons, clinics, summer camps, and sales for English and Western riders. They also have leasing and showing opportunities available.

Timber Trails Equine Center: A lesson and boarding stable with an indoor arena, Timber Trails Equine Center is located in Troy, NH. They also offer access to a large network of trails for trail riding.

True Hope Therapeutic Horsemanship: Offering therapeutic horsemanship lessons in Westmoreland, NH, True Hope introduces the magic of horses to through mounted and unmounted lessons those who have physical, cognitive, emotional, social, or behavioral challenges. Southern New Hampshire Barns

Apple Knoll Farm: A hunter/jumper facility in New Boston, NH, Apple Knoll Farm offers sales, leasing, boarding, lessons, and training. They can often be seen competing at the NHHJA horse shows as well as rated hunter shows throughout New England. 

Apple Tree Farm: Located in Hollis, NH, Apple Tree Farm operates year-round and offers eventing training, boarding, training, and competition opportunities for all levels of horses and riders. They host several schooling shows throughout the year and can be seen competing along the East Coast.

Back In The Saddle Equine Therapy Center:  A 501(c)3 nonprofit facility Hopkinton, NH, BITS offers therapeutic riding and equine-assisted activities to people ages 2-92 living with disabilities as well as veterans and uniformed service members.

Classic Bay Farm: Located in Milford, NH, with a sister barn in Ocala, FL, Classic Bay Farm focuses on eventing and dressage. They offer boarding, lessons, and training at their facility, which has an indoor arena and access to an extensive trail network.

Coyote Spring Farm: A premiere eventing facility in Lee, NH, Coyote Spring Farm provides lessons, clinics, coaching, and training. They have a large indoor with excellent footing as well as a full gallop track and a cross country course.

Full Circle Farm Therapeutic Horsemanship: Offering mounted and unmounted lessons to people of all ages and abilities, Full Circle Farm has therapeutic riding programs, equine-assisted learning (EAL) programs, veterans programs, and summer vocational training programs.

Green Acres Stables: Primarily focused on eventing and dressage, Green Acres, in Madbury, NH, caters to all levels of riders. They are an active barn that offers boarding, lessons, training, day camps, event camps, breeding, horse shows, events, trail rides, beach rides, cross country schooling, and clinics.

Hurricane Hill Farm: A large eventing and dressage facility, Hurricane Hill Farm includes all grass turnout, full-size outdoor dressage arena, mirrored indoor, and cross country jumps in Chichester, NH, on over 35 acres. They host regular clinics with prestigious equestrians.

Kilkenny Horse Center: Situated in Greenfield, NH, this stable offers eventing, jumping, and dressage lessons, camps, and barn shows for all ages and levels. Boarding is also available at their facility. They also help to run the ConVal High School Equestrian Team.

MRF Dressage At Harvest Moon Farm: A beautiful and well-maintained farm with an indoor arena in Hopkinton, NH, they have a full-slate of dressage schooling shows each year. They also offer boarding, lessons, and training.

Rosewood Equine: A family-friendly facility in Greenfield, NH, Rosewood Equine offers training, lessons, and leasing. They have a large children’s program and run many summer camps. Rosewood predominantly focuses on Arabians, but they have many other breeds as well.

Shannon Trails: This 100-acre boarding, lesson, and training farm in Salem, NH, offers miles of trails for riding and driving, as well as a large indoor arena and two outdoor arenas. They provide opportunities for showing, summer camps, clinics, and more!

Touchstone Farm:  Offering traditional and therapeutic riding and carriage driving lessons, in Lyndeborough, NH, they focus on creating well-rounded riders. They also partner with the Renaissance Farm Vaulting Club to provide vaulting instruction. Additionally, they have a popular overnight summer camp program for girls.

UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center: Located in Goffstown, NH, UpReach provides mounted and unmounted equine-assisted services for individuals with and without disabilities. Additionally, their community outreach programs include corporate leadership, team building, military culture training, trauma-informed care, and youth mental health first aid.

Walnut Hollow Farm: A family-based, full-service riding facility, Walnut Hollow Farm offers lessons, boarding, training, and leasing services in dressage, hunter/jumper, and eventing disciplines. They have both a large indoor and outdoor dressage ring in Amherst, NH.

West Meadow Farm:  Focusing on natural horsemanship, West Meadow Farm, in Bradford, NH, offers a large selection of clinics and horsemanship lessons each year. They have a wide variety of clinicians and instructors that come to teach in their large indoor arena.

Southern Vermont Barns

Amara Farm: A quality equestrian facility that offers boarding, riding lessons, horse training, and horse sales, Amara Farm specializes in all aspects of eventing and dressage. Their Pownal, VT, facility includes cross-country jumps and miles of trails with beautiful views.

Brookside Stables:  Located in Wilmington, VT, they offer boarding, training, and riding and driving lessons in addition to day camps. They are also the home of the Southern Vermont Therapeutic Riding Center.

Cold Brook Stables: A family-owned/operated farm in Vernon, VT, they offer boarding, training, and riding lessons for both English and Western riders. Cold Brook Stables also holds horse shows, game days, trail challenges, and horsemanship clinics in their large outdoor arena. 

Friesians of Majesty: This full-service Friesian breeding and training facility, located in Townsend, VT, is set on over 650 acres. They offer sale programs, breeding programs, camps, training, riding lessons, driving lessons, performances, getaways, horse-drawn limousine services, and carriage/sleigh rides.

Kaleidoscope Farm: Located in the scenic Springfield, VT, hills on 33 acres, with miles of trails and open fields their facilities feature a large indoor riding arena, outdoor dressage arena, and spacious turnout. They offer dressage training and lessons through the FEI levels.

Locust Hill Farm: A small family-owned and operated facility in Guilford, VT,  specializes in dressage with some jumping thrown in. They provide boarding and training in addition to lessons from their customers on their own horses.

Maple Row Stables: An intimate farm in Dummerston, VT, they are full care boarding with individual stalls, private paddocks, and small group turnout. The stable is a family-friendly environment that offers lessons and summer camp programs in a variety of disciplines for all ages.

Meadowmere Farm: Specializing in the Morgan breed, they offer training, lessons, sales, and breeding at their Vernon, VT, facility. They provide instruction in in-hand, Western, hunt seat, saddle seat, and carriage driving.

New England Center for Horsemanship: This Guilford, VT, facility is the home base for popular natural horsemanship clinician, author, and trainer, Heidi Potter. O’Reilly Equestrian: A boutique eventing facility, O’Reilly Equestrian is located in Vernon, VT, in the summer and Aiken, SC, in the winter months. They provide personalized training and pride themselves on a slow, methodical approach that builds successful and sound event horses.

PipeDream Equine: Focusing on the fundamentals of dressage, PipeDream Equine offers lessons and training, as well as boarding at their West Halifax, VT, location. They also have an extensive day camp program for young riders.

Southmowing Stables: A riding facility that focuses on Centered Riding and the teachings of Sally Swift, Southmowing Stables teaches their riders how to communicate effectively with their horses. They offer boarding, training, and lessons in addition to a large number of clinics each year.

West River Stables: Nestled in the West River Valley, in Newfane, VT, West River Stables is a full-service equestrian facility that offers English riding lessons for every level from beginners to advanced riders. They also have boarding and training opportunities for their clients.

Western Massachusetts Barns

Amy Hollowell Performance Horses: Specializing in reining, horsemanship, ranch riding, ranch versatility, and western all-around horses, Amy Hollowell Performance Horses offers full-board, training, lessons, and showing opportunities at their Deerfield, MA, facility. 

Crimson Acres: Offering lessons, boarding, and training in Orange, MA, they focus on making well-rounded equestrians. They have an active drill team, the Crimson Acres SWAT Drill Team, which competes throughout New England. Crimson Acres is also the home base for the Dare to Dream Therapeutic Riding Program.

DD Performance Horses: Specializing in the training and showing of Friesian and Arabian horses, they offer boarding, lessons, sales, and training at their Feeding Hills, MA, facility. Their clients compete in a variety of disciplines, including saddle seat, hunt seat, and western, as well as the specialty divisions.

Dream Big Performance Horses: Focusing on stock horse breeds, Dream Big offers lessons, camps, training, and showing opportunities. They utilize a facility in Belchertown, MA, that includes an indoor riding ring, an outdoor riding ring, trails, and multiple round pens.

Dry Brook Stables: A laid back and relaxing barn in Bernardston, MA, Dry Brook Farm has an extensive lesson and summer camp program for both English and Western riders. They also offer boarding and training at their facility.

Hugo Hill Farm: A boutique hunter/jumper facility in Brookfield, MA, Hugo Hill Farm specializes in bringing along young horses in a thoughtful manner. They offer training, sales, and lessons as well as showing and clinic opportunities.

Ingellis Stables: They are a private dressage training facility located on 28 stunning acres of conservation land in Amherst, MA. They offer full training programs for a limited number of clients.

North Eastern Performance Horses:  Specializing in reining and performance horses, they provide training, lessons, coaching, sales services, and boarding at their picturesque Shelburne Falls, MA, facility. They have a wonderful program for young horses to help green horses develop.

Red Mare Farm: Located in Hatfield, MA, Red Mare Farm is a quality Eventing barn that provides boarding, training, and sales. With a large indoor and outdoor arena, they also run a small two-phase show series.

RER Ponies: Offering lessons, training, and sales services in Hatfield, MA, RER Ponies has a large youth rider program (although all ages are welcome). They are the only United States Pony Club Riding Center in Western Massachusetts. They attend a number of hunter/jumper, eventing, and dressage competitions each year.

Stone Brook Farm: A full care facility in Phillipston, MA, they offer boarding, training, and lessons for all ages from beginner through fourth level dressage. The farm has been family-owned and operated for over 30 years!

Stepping Stones Equine Academy: Located in Petersham, MA, they offer boarding and training in addition to their large lesson program. They focus on building a strong foundation for their riders and have several trustworthy school horses.
