the stool works great! my horse is over 15 hands and the 10"" is enough of a boost. just make sure the string tied to the stool is secure before heading out. the bag to store the stool in is useless. the pad of the stool doesn't fit in the bag like the picture shows. the bag only covers the legs. also, i found it difficult to put the stool legs in the bag once up on the horse. maybe if you have a horse that stands perfectly still and is patient enough to wait while you do it. mine isn't! tying the bag to the front of of the saddle, versus the back, did make it a little easier. i'm going to have to think of a different way to store the stool while riding. maybe a strip of industrial velcro to wrap around the legs at the stool base or a larger bag with a velcro flap.
