This is the fifth Engel shirt I have purchased from them as I like to have them in a variety of colors. They keep you warm and due to the excellent quality wool they don't retain odours and therefore can be aired out several times before washing.

I recently purchased my second set (long sleeved top and leggings) of silk and wool blend, Engel base layers. These are warm and comfortable under my regular clothing. I am a true size small but my first set was a medium and second a large according to Cheshire Horse's sizing. I prefer the large so I would recommend sizing up one to two sizes with these. I plan to add another set next winter.

Engel has the quality one finds in vintage clothing from the 50s. The soft and comfortable shirt can be worn under other clothes for extra warmth. It is also attractive enough to wear alone as a tee or with a jumper. While the wool shirt is extremely warm when it's cold it is able to adjust when you go inside, so you don't feel overheated. The sizing is true.
