I have been feeding Redmond gold for 6 months after switching from Redmond rock.I just ran across this info. Hydrated Sodium Calcium Aluminosilicate A naturally occurring, highly mineralized phyllosilicate clay used as a nutritional supplement with mycotoxin binding and protective activities. Upon ingestion prior to each meal, hydrated sodium calcium aluminosilicate is not absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract but rather binds certain food contaminants. This is a good thing but can also bind with the good ingredients. Flushing them out. Just feed separately from your other supplements.

I originally was encouraged by a friend to try Daily Gold on an older horse I had who would have excess liquid in his manure (normal balls with lots of liquid). Originally he would have this issue for a time in the summer on grass, but then he started having issues in the winter which would make his blanket flap and tail quite yucky. Daily Gold dried him up within a few days and he never had a problem again while he was on it. Eventually all my ulcer prone horses were put on it for maintenance after treatment. Still use it many years later.
