Long story longer, my little guy had a bought with vestibular disease. He became very dizzy, nauseous. For several days his gait was off, he wouldn't eat his treats. When he was feeling better, he wouldn't eat the food he'd been eating. I know the food wasn't bad, my other pup was eating it & was just fine. One food he would eat, my other one didn't like it, he'd get sick occasionally, he ate a lot of grass. I also noticed the rims would be rusted. After receiving a batch that had a darker color, I called the company & was assured it was ok. I had one can that had a dark area right in the middle & some just didn't look right. We were done with that company. When I did some research I saw that company was cited for some unsafe & unsanitary conditions just a couple years ago. One issue being with condensation dripping into the open food... explains the funny look & the rusted rims. I had a hard time finding a food he liked that didn't have potatoes, peas, carrageenan, or some just plain weird ingredients. This one is it! They both like it. He doesn't eat grass like he used to, he hasn't been sick, he's acting more energetic & mischievous like he always had been. He's been on Dave's for a week! Although It's hard to find for me locally, It's worth it (my babies are worth it!) to either drive or order it. Cheshire Horse delivered my product & I only had 1 slightly dented can! Usually I have 5 or 6 or sometimes more dented cans from other companies. I'm very pleased with them as well.
