As far back as the middle ages, Chasteberry has been known for helping to balance hormonal sys-tems, both for males and females. Chasteberry acts as an adaptogen, meaning it helps to stabilize and level out inconsistencies, reduce the impact of outside factors such as stress and anxiety, and promotes healthy, normal hormone balance. The body’s epicenter for hormone production and function is the pituitary gland. Often called the “master gland”, the pituitary provides the neces-sary hormonal support to numerous organs and tissues. Recent studies have shown that Chaste-berry supports dopamine activity, which provides the proper signals to the pituitary as to which hormones are needed, and in what amounts.
