This girth was designed by dressage riders with dressage riders in mind. It is exceptionally comfortable as well as attractive and durable. It is beautifully padded with luxurious leather, contour design, and rolled edges to prevent rubs. Elastic at both ends allowing for even distribution of pressure. Stainless steel roller buckles and padding behind the buckles is extended to help shield the horse from billet rubs.

I would give this 5 stars if it worked on my horse. The quality is excellent and there is plenty of padding. The exterior is sturdy harness leather and the padding is covered by a very soft calfskin. The reason why I exchanged this girth is that the flaps which extend behind the buckles are fairly long. They extend 3 inches beyond the buckle, it seems. This could be good if you have a horse that is sensitive and you want to make sure there is no chafing. The downside is that if you have a monoflap girth it creates a good deal of bulk where your calf can go on the horse.
