Full- and Part-Time Retail Sales Associates - Saratoga Springs, NY

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Provide personalized customer service in the store and over the phone
  • If necessary, partner with management to ensure customers’ needs are met
  • Inform customers of current promotions
  • Courteously handle accurate sales, refund, and exchange transactions
  • Develop and/or maintain store displays and merchandising

Desired skills and experience:

  • 1+ year(s) equine experience
  • 1+ year(s) sales experience in a retail environment
  • Friendly, with excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for horses and pets
  • Proficient computer skills

Information Systems Manager - Keene, NH

Our parent company Hamshaw Lumber is hiring an Informations System Manager to oversee hardware and software equipment in four locations, including two Hamshaw Lumber locations and two Cheshire Horse locations.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Maintain 5+ servers
  • Maintain both hardware and software equipment in four locations, including but not limited to: Desktop and laptop PCs, printers, fax machines, scanners, phone systems, security systems, backup generator, and RF guns
  • Monitor and maintain all LAN/WAN networks (servers, firewalls, and routers)
  • Ensure managed antivirus software is functioning properly and up to date
  • Ensure managed backups are functioning properly
  • Ensure security of all technical systems against unauthorized outside and inside intrusion
  • Plan and perform maintenance and testing for all technical systems
  • Manage all software licensing concerns, ensuring that Hamshaw Lumber utilizes the most cost-effective measures and remains in compliance with licensing terms
  • Be available outside of scheduled hours for support and project related tasks as needed
  • Be proactive with regard to creative self-learning and professional development; attend all required meetings, trainings, seminars and workshops
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Desired skills and experience:

      • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
      • Debugging hardware and software system level problems in a multi-vendor multi-protocol network environment
      • Remotely troubleshoot software and hardware issues
      • Working knowledge of LAN and WAN networking, include VLAN, DHCP, DNS protocol
      • Have the passion to expand into administering and supporting cloud computing, and virtual environments
      • Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas to non-technical audiences
      • Experience with firewalls, routers, and other networking hardware
      • Working knowledge of phone systems, POS systems, and computer communications systems
