Many hunter/jumper, event, and hunt seat equitation riders choose to ride and compete in a close contact saddle or a jumping saddle. These English saddles are designed with a forward flap, a shallow seat, and a lower pommel to accommodate riding and jumping in a forward position with a shorter stirrup length. Knee rolls help to support the rider both over the fences and while riding in a half seat. Available in a number of sizes, tree configurations, and price points, we carry a close contact saddle for nearly every equestrian and horse combination.

We carry a number of leather close contact saddles and jumping saddles from Bates Saddlery. Featuring an easy-change gullet system and CAIR cushioned panels, these innovative saddles are designed to fit a wide variety of horses from narrow Thoroughbreds to wide warmbloods. For the equestrians, Bates saddles have a comfortable narrow twist, recessed stirrup bar, and adjustable knee blocks.

Our inventory also includes high-quality synthetic close contact saddles from Wintec Saddlery. These easy-to-care-for saddles are extremely durable, making them a popular choice for young equestrians. Modern synthetic saddles closely resemble leather, making them appropriate for competitions of every level and rating.

In addition to our new close contact saddles, we also carry a number of used close contact saddles on consignment.

For optimal performance, your saddle should fit both you and your horse. Learn more about the importance of saddle fit on our blog, The Effects of Poor Saddle Fit.
