Raising sheep for companionship, fiber, pleasure, meat, or show is an enjoyable experience for many livestock owners. At The Cheshire Horse, we carry a wide variety of sheep grains, feeds, supplements, and loose minerals to provide your flock with the nutrition that they need to thrive.

Our selection includes feedstuffs from trusted livestock feed manufacturers including Purina Mills, Kalmbach Feeds, New Country Organics, and High Noon. When fed in conjunction with high-quality hay or forage products, grains can support your sheep through all of their life’s stages including pregnant or lactating ewes, lambs, and mature rams. Look for a feed that is formulated for your specific animals.

During fair season or show season, you may be looking to fill out your ewe or ram. Our show feeds are higher in fat and higher in calories to provide a showring ready bloom. It is not recommended that you feed show feed on a long-term basis, since it may result in sheep obesity.

Providing a mineral lick or loose minerals to your sheep flock is a simple and easy way to ensure that they are meeting their dietary requirements. Make sure that you purchase products specifically formulated for sheep, since they are unable to process high amounts copper (a popular mineral in the diets of many other livestock).

Due to the size and weight of these products, many may incur additional shipping charges. Free pick-up for all online orders is also available in our Swanzey, NH, store location. For our local customers within Cheshire county, we also offer free grain delivery for orders over 10 bags of grain. Call our store for details.

Commercially pelleted feeds are a convenient way to keep your sheep happy and healthy. Our experienced sales staff is always available to answer the questions you may have regarding the sheep feeds and supplements that we carry. Contact us today for a complimentary sheep nutrition consultation to ensure that your sheep are receiving a diet that meets their nutritional requirements.
