I love how durable and machine washable these shoes are (best after washing and **dry thoroughly, they become much softer/comfortable for your pup to wear). Sturdy for the elements and stay on properly with the dual Velcro straps. After about a month or two the soles do wear down (but my boy wears them daily on walks to protect His feets and paws) but if you’re using them for only very hot or cold days then they should last much longer. I find He wears out more on the pair worn on his feet so I can throw out those and use a saved older pair of fronts as a swap-out. I buy multiple so I always have a back up supply. They are a bit stiff when first worn but break in easily. I only wish that the inside had a softer material or cushioning for Him so during colder months His toes are warm. Sometimes the shoes are a bit rough on the inside and can be abrasive or cause some bruising which is upsetting because the overall quality is best I’ve found. So occasionally I will apply a thick pup-sock on Him before shoes go on but I wish that wasn’t necessary. Another point off for the dew claw area. The dual straps for secure fit is great but I’d think it’d be better if there was a stretch fabric in that area so to not put pressure on His “thumb” or a slotted notch to allow an open area for the safety of his digits. The top Velcro strap could be placed higher to still allow secure fitting. That’s just my thoughts of how to better improve this product and maybe Alcott would take it into consideration in modifying the shoes/boots. All in all it’s a great protective paw & feet wear for my baby. I always recommend these anytime someone asks (which is actually quite often). I’m very pleased with Alcott Adventure Shoes. Will continue to purchase as it’s very well made and durable. Only wish the issues I mentioned were already a factor of this product making it the best pup shoes ever. As is I still give 5 stars.
