Life Data® Hoof Clay is an antimicrobial packing for hoof defects. Effective against a wide spectrum of bacterial and fungal organisms which can lead to white line disease, wall separations, crumbling horn, and thrush. The sticky, clay-like consistency easily packs and stays in hoof defects, old nail holes, and cracks. Can be applied under hoof pads for extended periods. Allows continuous and long term protection against hoof eating microbes. Life Data® Hoof Clay contains the following active ingredients: iodine, tea tree oil, and yucca extract.

Ingredients
A safe to handle and a non-caustic formulation containing silicon (clay), grain extract, tea tree oil, iodine, and yucca extract.
Problems it Addresses
- White Line Disease: due to a combination of bacterial and fungal organisms invading the middle hoof wall. Hoof cracks, old nail holes, white line separations, and other hoof wall defects allow these “hoof eating” microbes to gain access to the nutrient-rich middle hoof wall. The low oxygen environment creates an ideal site for these organisms to multiply and weaken the hoof wall structure, leading to additional defects and collapsing hoof horns.
- Thrush: a microbial invasion of the sole and frog tissue, often leading to tender feet, heel pain, and lameness.

This has improved the quality of my horses feet by keeping the bacteria out of the old nail holes and cracks. I find that the holes close up quicker and the cracks don't expand when you use this. Plus you can use this everyday, it doesn't over moisturize the hoof.

This is the first time I've tried Life DataHoof Clay and am finding it helpful for a couple of issues. First, when there's a spot of shallow hoof wall separation due to a lamellar wedge, I can press the clay in to keep gravel and impurities out. It also doesn't make matters worse by putting pressure on the separation. Second, if I find that his sulci are getting too deep, I can pack his grooves with it, preventing thrush from developing.
