Switching made simple!
Start with a clean, empty litter box at each transition:
- Fill half the box with ökocat and top off with your current litter for a total of 2-3".
- Use more ökocat and top with less of your current litter.
- When your cat is comfortable with the change, fill litter box 2-3" entirely with ökocat.
With regular scooping, litter can last up to 7 weeks.

As a life-long buyer of clay litter, I was skeptical of trying a wood product. I had awful luck with some other corn litters and I just didn't expect wood to do a very good job. Boy, was I wrong! Okocat is far superior to any clay or corn litter I've tried. It's incredibly absorbent (no more pee puddles in the corner of the litter box), successfully controls the odor of 3 cats (with no gross perfumes to mix with the typical litter box smells. Even my non-cat-loving husband doesn't notice any litter box smells), and lasts 4 times longer than clay for the pretty much the same price. The only downside to this litter is how easy it is for the cats to track it through the house. More daily sweeping up for me but it's a small price to pay for such an effective product!
