This trap is large and can hold up to 30 mice before it would need to be emptied. However, be sure to check traps regularly to release them in a reasonable amount of time. This trap includes no poisons and no snaps, it simply lures mice in and securely holds them to then await their release in a new location. This trap was specifically designed to prevent mice from escaping. The see-saw design captures mice and once they scurry past the threshold, it will not allow any to escape. For best results, we recommend baiting the trap with a small smear of high-protein bait, such as peanut butter, on the inside wall of the trap. One of the versatile parts of the Tin Cat trap is its placement. Place it inside or outside, under furniture, inside cabinets, in the garage, in the attic or anywhere mice tend to travel.
