Unfortunately, the saddle I purchased as brand-new condition & full retail price arrived with a cosmetic scratch on the left flap. I reached out to Cheshire in a timely manner to see what could be done and they did apologize and said they have issued a 10% refund that would be back in my account in 3 business days. I was disappointed this happened as well as they automatically decided what the solution was because I ideally wanted to return the saddle to get a .5" size smaller (I think Wintec seats must run a little larger) within my 2-week trial period anyway and even if not, I would want a new one without a defect shipped out. Also, it has been 2 weeks since that email and I still haven't received the 10% refund. I do not see myself ordering from The Cheshire Horse again. As for the saddle itself if I look past the defect, it is pretty great! I'm usually a 17" but I ideally need a 16.5" in this one but is such a blessing Wintec has made a wide model. I've had my mare for 16 years and several years ago, I couldn't use a Wintec on her because their widest gullet was not wide enough and now they have this! It looks pretty too. :)

The Wintec 500 Wide exceeded my expectations! I have a hard to fit Percheron who is 18.2hh who has shark fin withers & needs a 10 inch gullet. The saddle comes with a 2XW Wintec Gullet, which is exactly the size we needed. The gullet is interchangeable, & you can go up or down in sizing with the Wintec Wide gullets, depending on your horse's needs. The saddle looks amazing, fits my horse, & is comfortable for me (first English saddle, changing disciplines from Western). I love that it's synthetic. It's still new & hasn't needed a full on cleaning yet, but it's easy to wipe down & doesn't accumulate dust (I keep it covered with the Wintec saddle cover it comes with). I've already recommended this saddle to another rider of a full-size draft at the ranch that we board at. (I also have a Wintec front riser to help lift the saddle up off his super sharp withers)

Wintec has made considerable improvements to their saddles. I am very happy with this saddle. It puts me in a correct position and fits my very stocky mustang well. The price is excellent and saddle is well made. Very hard to tell the difference between this synthetic saddle and a leather saddle.
