Spalding Laboratories Bye Bye Insects is an essential oil fly spray that matches the performance of synthetic chemical pesticides in protecting your horse from biting insects. The innovative formula smells great, and it is completely safe for both people and horses!
Bye Bye Insects is a concentrate: You can adjust its performance to what you need. You may find a 50% dilution will still provide sufficient repellency, especially when the bugs are not prevalent. Many equestrians have noted that this all-natural formula offers comparable, even superior, fly repellency compared to the most widely used fly sprays for horses
Ingredients are primarily Essential Oils and their components, including Geraniol, Rosemary, Citronella, Peppermint, and Lemongrass. All of the ingredients meet EPA's 25(b) Minimum Risk requirements and for Rosemary, Peppermint, Vanillin, and Lemongrass, they use food-grade quality.

- For Dogs, Horses, and Ponies:
- Shake well before each use
- Brush the animal thoroughly to remove excess dirt and dust
- Spray a light mist on the coat, concentrating on the legs and flanks
- Do not spray on the face or on mucous membranes
- For the face, spray onto a soft cloth and wipe around the eyes and ears
- NOTE: May cause slight yellowing on white or gray hair
* Note for use on white/gray horses: yellow staining can occur after use and is visible on lighter color coats. It will wash out over time. It does not harm the horse in any way and may be less visible when diluting to 50%.

I'm not an ""all natural"" fly spray person, but tried this, and it works like a charm. I like it better than the other chemical long-lasting fly sprays, and it lasts a long time. It has a strong scent, but it's pleasant. Sort of a peppermint/clove smell. As the manufacturer indicates, it does leave a slight yellow color on your hand, or if you have a white or gray horse, but it comes off. In Florida, we deal with lots of mosquitoes and flies, almost year round, and this repels well. This will be my new ""go-to"" fly spray. Two thumbs up!
