They are good quality. The design is a bit weird. I got the L, which is what I usually wear and based on the size chart, and the seams on the back side are sitting weirdly. It feels like you have your butt circled by the seams.

I purchased two pairs of these wool tights for a trip to Northern Italy in February. I wore them at home in 40 degree weather to test them out. They kept me noticeably warmer. I know I will wear them throughout my trip plus any time I am outside in the cold for extended periods of time. They are thick but not too thick. They are not scratchy. I am 5'4"", size 8/10 and purchased a size medium and the fit is good and they are comfortable. A large would have been too large. I would recommend them.
